Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation, and instruct patients and caregivers in skills promoting independence. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients using appropriate tests to establish diagnoses, set treatment goals, and design plans of care including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and adaptive device training. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel while adhering to state licensure requirements. Consult with the rehabilitation team to select therapeutic regimens, modify plans based on patient progress, and ensure timely documentation of services. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across skilled nursing, outpatient, and home-based settings.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
