Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized physical therapy programs, and instruct patients and caregivers in skills to restore independence. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients using appropriate tests to establish diagnoses, design treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Supervise therapy assistants and students while directing activities to promote health and safety. Consult with the rehabilitation team to select therapeutic regimens, order supplies, and maintain equipment. Ensure timely documentation, adhere to established care plans, and participate in staffing conferences. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across skilled nursing, clinics, and home care settings.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
