Job Summary
Supervise P.T. assistants, volunteers, students, and per diem therapists while conducting patient evaluations and creating care plans per physician orders. Provide guidance to nursing staff on MDS and GG assessments, develop aftercare exercise programs, and instruct personnel in proper procedures. Act as a clinical instructor for P.T. students and serve on committees to conduct training programs for staff. Support in-service programs and facility initiatives. Requires a New York State P.T. license and one year of experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. Full-time 40-hour schedule Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in P.T. from an accredited institution.
- Valid New York State P.T. license.
- Basic knowledge relative to the practice of physical therapy.
- Basic familiarity with equipment used in the practice of physical therapy and its operation.
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility preferred.
