Job Summary
Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs by evaluating patients, implementing modalities, and performing individualized therapy plans including therapeutic exercise and manual techniques. Apply diagnostic tests to assess muscle, joint, and functional ability while recording and reporting patient progress. Collaborate with team members to maintain service quality and participate in peer feedback and quality assurance audits. Instruct patients and families on home programs and assistive devices, ensuring compliance with established policies and departmental workflows. Maintain fiscal responsibility against targeted key performance indicators and demonstrate professional conduct in all interpersonal interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree of Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program
- Licensed to practice in the State of practice (CA/NV)
- Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
- California Physical Therapy license if practicing in California
- Nevada Physical Therapy license if practicing in Nevada
- Bachelors or Certificate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Approved and authorized 'Graduate of Physical Therapy' (if applying for licensure in Nevada) or Physical Therapy Licensed Applicant (if applying for licensure in California) eligible to work under direct supervision of a supervising Physical Therapist
