Job Summary

Physical Therapist in an inpatient rehabilitation setting will evaluate and treat patients with a wide variety of therapeutic interventions to improve physical function, coordinate a comprehensive rehabilitation program, and discharge planning. Responsibilities include interpreting data, collaborating with Physical Therapy Assistants, promoting patient and caregiver self-determination, and communicating with multidisciplinary care teams. Pediatric scope includes evaluating/treating infants to adolescents, addressing motor development, strength, ROM, endurance, balance, gait, and coordinating float to adult units as needed. Requires basic computer skills, adherence to regulations, and use of the EPIC charting system. Provides education, supports growth and development across the lifespan, and participates in program development and patient advocacy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred
  • NM License of Physical Therapy required
  • BLS required at time of hire
  • Less than one year of experience in physical therapy
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
