Job Summary
Physical Therapist in inpatient rehabilitation providing hands-on care and patient education across pediatric to adult patients. Responsible for evaluating and treating patients using a wide variety of therapeutic interventions, interpreting data, and developing a comprehensive rehabilitation plan to meet physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs. Works with Physical Therapy Assistants, coordinates discharge goals, and communicates with multiple disciplines to optimize patient independence. May float to adult units if pediatric census fluctuates. Includes opportunities for educational and career development such as tuition and certification reimbursement; benefits include malpractice coverage and loan forgiveness programs; EPIC electronic charting system is used. Day shift, PRN opportunity with growth potential in lead roles as eligible. Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and advocate for patients and caregivers in the care plan, including pediatric patients from birth to 18 years with potential pediatric-to-adult transitions. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy, NM license, and BLS at time of hire; Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
