Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients in the hospital physical therapy setting using a human movement system framework. Document prior function, current limitations, and progress using standardized tools to establish measurable short and long-term goals. Complete all required documentation including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, care plans, re-evaluations, discharge summaries, and weekly summaries in compliance with department standards. Communicate effectively with the interprofessional medical team, patients, and families while participating in quality improvement through chart reviews and staff education. Contribute to clinical site education for students and colleagues by delivering in-service presentations. Attend staff meetings, forums, and committees as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- One to two years related experience
- Current California State License
- Current BLS Certification
