Physical Therapist Inpatient Adult MedStar Georgetown University Hospital

Conduct direct physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of patient functioning, goal setting, and discharge recommendations. Deliver treatments according to standards of practice, incorporating patient and family education, treatment plan progression, and therapeutic interventions. Supervise physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians while collaborating with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members. Coordinate schedules, prioritize patient treatment demands, and actively participate in meetings, in-services, and rounds. Adhere to Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations regarding the physical environment and patient care.
