Job Summary
Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans in an acute care inpatient setting. Administer safe and effective therapy treatments while reassessing and adjusting plans to align with patient progress. Provide clear documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and billing information, and educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and post-treatment care. Operate therapy equipment safely and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Requires a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a state license, with BCLS certification within 30 days of hire. This role offers a $50K sign-on bonus and $10K relocation package at Carlsbad Medical Center.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)
- 0-2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting
- PT - Physical Therapist license in the state of employment
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, therapeutic techniques, and safety standards
- Ability to perform comprehensive evaluations and develop effective treatment plans
- Proficiency in using therapy equipment and technology for documentation and billing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and maximize productivity
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical and legal standards
