Job Summary
Interpret physician orders, perform initial evaluations, and establish treatment plans to optimize patient function. Document all patient status, progress notes, and discharges in compliance with guidelines while supervising rehabilitation technicians. Determine appropriate discharge timelines and follow-up plans, actively participating in the medical team through office visits with physicians and case managers. Maintain active state licensure by earning continuing education credits and stay current with billing policies and ethical practices. Work in a fast-paced outpatient environment requiring the ability to lift over 25 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed Physical Therapist or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Illinois
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds
- Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
- Ability to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes
- Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day
