Job Summary

Assess, re-assess, and treat a variety of diagnoses with high professional competency to restore function, improve mobility, and relieve pain for patients across all age groups. Develop individualized treatment plans, set realistic goals, and educate patients and families on self-management strategies. Supervise and mentor staff therapists, senior therapists, and students while overseeing clinical skills and program delivery. Maintain accurate medical documentation to ensure compliance and reimbursement, and act as a clinical liaison to resolve complex patient care issues. May provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Graduation from an approved school of Physical Therapy
  • Physical Therapy (PT) License
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience
  • One year in an acute care setting
  • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Membership or specialty equivalent
  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing, walking, and transferring patients
  • Regularly lift and/or move 25 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • Manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation
  • Visual acuity that allows for frequently uses computer screen and reports
  • Ability to exchange accurate information via phone, email and/or in person
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills including communication, teamwork
  • Ability to work independently
  • Self-motivated and well organized
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to changes at a moment's notice
  • Maturity to operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of patients with acute and long term disability
  • Ability to read/write and communicate in English
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to assess the needs of patients of all different age populations
  • Ability to visually and audibly assess injury and functional status of patients and patient's subjective complaints
  • Advanced knowledge of physical modalities, therapeutic exercise and other treatment skills
  • Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect and adjust plan of care as appropriate
  • Proper time management skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree (Masters or Doctorate)
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience
