Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy evaluations including interviews, observations, palpation, goniometry, and sensory testing to determine habilitation and rehabilitation needs. Independently implement and modify treatment plans for patients with routine to complex problems, utilizing therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, gait training, heat/cold application, and ultrasound. Document patient responses, progress toward goals, and daily interventions while establishing teaching plans for patients and families. Organize patient assignments, maintain caseload mix, and submit admission records within 48 hours and daily records within 24 hours with 95% accuracy. Initiate case conferences and participate in multidisciplinary quality improvement teams. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, 1-2 years clinical experience, and a valid PT license in DC, Maryland, or Virginia. Salary ranges from $74,214 to $134,596 annually.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
- 1-2 years Clinical experience
- PT - Physical Therapist License to practice Physical Therapy in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination based on work location(s)
- Valid State Driver's License in good standing with a dependable vehicle for transportation
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Good clinical skills
- Organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of home equipment home care reimbursement and regulations governing PTAs
