Job Summary
Outpatient orthopedic clinic in Independence, MO seeks a Doctor of Physical Therapy to evaluate patients with orthopedic/musculoskeletal conditions, develop and deliver treatment plans including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait and balance training, and neuromuscular re-education. The role involves direct patient care, home exercise instruction, and documentation in WebPT, with coordination among a small clinical team (2 PTs and 2 PTAs). Open to new graduates; compensation based on experience. Schedule options include four 10-hour days (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri) with Tue off, or a Mon–Fri schedule with varied hours. Typical patient load is 7–15 patients per day and 160–190 visits per week. Required credentials include a DPT and active MO licensure (or eligibility). Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills are essential; team-based outpatient environment experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based outpatient setting
