Job Summary
Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under general supervision. Provide direct supervision to patients and oversee rehabilitation technicians and PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Maintain current licensure and BLS certification while adhering to Mercy Service Standards and departmental policies. Shifts include Mon/Weds (8:30am–6pm), Tues/Thurs (7:30am–5pm), and Fri (8am–12pm). This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and full range of motion including kneeling and squatting. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master of Science in Physical Therapy, or Doctor of Physical Therapy
- Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice
- BLS certified
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. regularly
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Six months to one year of experience is preferred for a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist
- Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients
