Job Summary
Conduct direct physical therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, and treatments for inpatient adult patients, including assessment of functioning, goal setting, discharge recommendations, and patient/family education. Implement therapeutic interventions, utilize appropriate documentation forms, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the broader healthcare team regarding patient progress. Supervise physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians while coordinating schedules to meet patient treatment demands. Actively participate in clinical meetings, in-services, and rounds; contribute to program development as assigned by the Clinical Leader; and complete at least 10 annual contact hours of continuing education. Provide yearly in-service training for staff and the community. Adhere to all Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations. Required Qualifications
- Degree in physical therapy
- Physical Therapist Current D.C (District of Columbia) license or qualified candidate for D.C. license as a Physical Therapist
- D.C. License, be eligible for a reciprocity license, or apply to sit for the board examination
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
