Job Summary
Provide discipline-specific interventions to improve patient safety and functional independence across acute, inpatient, and outpatient rehab settings. Determine skilled and medically necessary needs based on physician referrals and recommend patient progression through the continuum of care. Maintain professional competence by identifying educational needs, seeking continuing education, and adhering to licensure, documentation, and billing guidelines. Support departmental initiatives and stay current with organizational communications. Requires a PT license in Virginia or West Virginia, BLS certification, and a postgraduate certificate, bachelor's, or master's degree. Full-time first shift with a pay range of $38.02 to $57.04.
Required Qualifications
- Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- PT License - Virginia/West Virginia licensure or transitional license at time of hire
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved
- American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Competent to successfully interact with patients, according to their special needs which may apply based upon the age of the patient served - Age Specific Competencies
- Learning and exhibiting consistent proficiency for entry level, setting defined, basic competency in the provision of discipline specific interventions
