Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients using therapeutic procedures to address physical deficits and improve independence. Conduct thorough functional assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress weekly. Manage care delivery by supervising assistants and orienting patients to services and discharge exercises. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, attend rehabilitation conferences, and participate in quality improvement processes. Maintain current clinical competency through continuing education and comply with state and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy
- five years of direct practice experience
- Current license/certification in the state of practice
Desired Qualifications
- minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation
- Supervision, training and/or experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility
- membership in the American Physical Therapy Association
- Demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation
- Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials and equipment used in physical therapy
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
