Job Summary
Assess patient evaluations and test results to determine physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians. Administer manual exercises, massages, traction, electrical muscle stimulation, moist hot packs, ice, and ultrasound while instructing patients on ambulatory and daily-living activities. Direct treatments provided by aides and assistants, then evaluate treatment effects by observing and noting patient progress to recommend adjustments. Design home exercise programs to assure plan continuation following discharge and document all care services in the E.H.R. system. Adhere to infection-control policies to protect patients and employees. Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State required for this full-time role at our Canarsie office.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in an outpatient musculo-skeletal practice preferred
- Experience with injury rehabilitation preferred
