Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, testing, and treatment for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions while developing individualized treatment plans with measurable goals. Educate patients and families, collaborate on interdisciplinary team conferences, and assist with Residents as a Clinical Instructor for short-term and long-term students. Plan treatment schedules, monitor infection control protocols, document patient care details, and participate in quality assurance and peer review activities. This role requires Sunday through Thursday, 8am to 4:30pm shifts. Candidates must hold a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy degree, one year of acute care clinical experience, and a valid Georgia Physical Therapy License. Basic Life Support certification is required.
Required Qualifications
- Acute care experience
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy Program accredited by CAPTE
- At least one year of clinical experience as a physical therapist
- A valid, unencumbered Physical Therapist License approved by Georgia Board of Physical Therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Ability to carry objects up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk occasionally to frequently
- Ability to sit occasionally
- Ability to perform close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Availability for shift work
- Ability to use personal protective equipment, including respirators
