Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients and complete appropriate documentation in a timely fashion, while supervising therapy technicians and assisting with daily operational duties. Maintain agreed-upon schedule and productivity standards, comply with billing and documentation requirements, and provide home education materials through practice software. Communicate appropriately with physicians and staff on patient care issues, participate in professional development activities, and foster an environment of continued learning. This role supports an active orthopedic patient population in a modern outpatient setting where you collaborate with personal trainers, massage therapists, and nutrition specialists to deliver whole-person care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral level degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Minimum two years' experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting
- Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Tennessee
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive training in orthopedic care and manual therapy
- Management experience
- Extensive knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise prescription
- Ability to manage treatment of multiple patients, administer appropriate modalities and supervise technicians
- Working knowledge of billing issues, CPT codes and basic knowledge of insurance related issues
- Comfortable effectively using MS office programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Great verbal and written communication
- Neat and professional appearance
- Able to maintain company legal and professional confidentiality requirements across employees, patients, and clients
