Job Summary
Develop and plan physical therapy treatment for patients recovering from injuries, muscle, nerve, joint, or bone diseases, while adhering to physician recommendations and protocols. Work alongside a team of professionals to provide cohesive orthopaedic care, assisting in transporting, positioning, or holding patients as needed. Collaborate with physicians to ensure patients receive outstanding rehabilitation support to return to daily activities. This full-time role includes on-call rotation and requires an active Iowa license or completion of a Physical Therapy degree. DMOS, a privately held orthopedic facility celebrating 70 years of care, offers a collaborative environment with friendly peers.
Required Qualifications
- Individual with active license to practice in the state of Iowa as a Physical Therapist
- Individual completing a degree in Physical Therapy with the anticipation of becoming licensed
- Communication skills
- Ability to communicate calmly and professionally to patients and physicians
- Curious
- Practice the art of listening
- Asking clarifying questions
- Avoiding interrupting your patient
- Must be able to stand on feet all day
- Must be able to assist in transporting patients
- Must be able to position patients
- Must be able to hold patients
