Job Summary
Design and execute individualized speech and communication programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patient abilities across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient, and home-based settings. Deliver direct therapy to address swallowing disorders and communication deficits while training patients and caregivers on skills for independence. Collaborate with peers to make referrals and manage daily operations including equipment maintenance and reporting. Work with patients as an individualized teacher to promote productivity and thrive in a variety of clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
