Job Summary
Provide physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to pediatric patients referred to the Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Services Department, covering acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. Maintain proficiency in pediatric care for ages birth to 21, including neonates as required. Demonstrate competency per department clinical standards, complete timely documentation under The Joint Commission and CARF standards, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Mentor PT students and new staff, attend in-services, and participate in professional development and program meetings. Requires a Florida PT license, BLS certification, and availability for weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of three (3) months experience
- Florida State License to practice Physical Therapy
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to cover in all settings (acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient)
- Proficiency in the care of pediatrics for patients ages birth to 21yo
- Proficiency with neonates
- Competency in pediatric physical therapy as per department clinical competencies
- Member of professional specialty organizations (APTA, FPTA)
- Prior pediatrics experience
- Availability for weekend shifts
