Job Summary
Provides physical therapy evaluations and establishes plans of care for patients with impairments or changes in physical function. Delivers treatment, utilizes various modalities, documents care in EMR with evaluations, treatments, patient progress and discharge planning, and communicates with physicians and the health team to adjust plans. Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and rehab staff, contributes to program development, and participates in patient care across locations. Requires flexible scheduling including potential evenings and weekends, with travel between System sites as needed. Maintains compliance with licensure, ethical standards, and payor guidelines; engages in patient and family education and interdisciplinary collaboration; promotes community outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or higher
- Strong leadership ability
- Good organizational skills
- Independent and critical thinking skills
- Sound judgment
- Knowledge of legal aspects and liability of functional area
- Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide audience
- Strong time management and ability to work independently and in a team
- Creativity in treatment in various settings
- Ability to transition between treatment settings
- Flexibility in scheduling
- Understand current billing requirements and adhere to payor guidelines
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved by American Heart Association
- Act 33 with renewal
- Act 34 with renewal
- Act 73 FBI Clearance
- Current license as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure in PA
- Graduate Therapist expected to sit for licensure within six months
