Job Summary
Conduct home health visits to adult and geriatric clients in the Fairfax, VA area, performing diagnostic tests for mobility, balance, strength, and ambulation. Implement individualized care plans featuring manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, and integumentary protective interventions for wound repair. Continually assess and revise care plans while collaborating with nursing staff, and educate clients and families on rehabilitative activities. Accurately document all observations and interventions using a touch pad tablet. Requires a current VA Physical Therapist license, graduation from an accredited program, and strong interpersonal skills. Offers per diem compensation with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- A current VA Physical Therapist - PT license
- Graduation from a program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Solid computer skills
- prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
