Physical Therapist Assistant

Deliver physical therapy interventions and patient/caregiver education under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, modifying treatment procedures per the plan of care and PTA scope of practice. Monitor patient progress through observation, document all care provided, and maintain records per VNS Health policy. Manage assigned caseloads while providing direct care to patients at home or in facilities, including positioning, transferring, and lifting individuals of varying sizes. Utilize durable medical equipment and transport required technology devices to and from patient locations. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, in-service training, and caseload reviews. Requires New York State Physical Therapist Assistant certification, an approved associate's degree, and minimum two years of clinical patient care experience.
