Job Summary
Evaluate patient status, observe treatments, and report progress to the supervising Physical Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual techniques, and stretching with assistive devices. Set clear goals with patients and families, educate them on expectations, and maintain precise documentation for all visits and outcomes. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to carry out care plans, prevent complications like falls, and improve resident quality of life. Required Qualifications
- Active state Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Ability to assist the supervising Physical Therapist in evaluating patient status, observing during/after treatments, and reporting progress or changes
- Ability to implement individualized treatment plans as a PTA, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual techniques, stretching, and use of assistive devices like walkers or canes
- Ability to set clear goals with patients, educate them and families on expectations, and build understanding of their rehab process
- Ability to counsel patients and families while maintaining precise documentation for all visits, treatments, and outcomes
