Job Summary

Conduct initial evaluations and assessments of geriatric patients' physical abilities and limitations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to improve strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination. Monitor and document patient progress while educating families on home techniques. Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all state and federal regulations. Requires an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant, current state license, and minimum one year of geriatric experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current state license or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
  • Knowledge of Medicare and other insurance regulations related to physical therapy services
  • Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
