Job Summary
Develop and implement treatment plans for geriatric patients by assisting with exercises to improve mobility, strength, and balance. Monitor and track patient progress while adjusting plans as needed, and educate patients and families on proper home techniques. Maintain accurate patient records and communicate regularly with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team to ensure coordinated care. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality. Requires an Associate's degree, current state license, and one year of geriatric experience. Full-time role with 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, no weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a geriatric setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, including standing, bending, and lifting
