Job Summary
Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of physical conditions and injuries by implementing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities. Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans, while educating patients and families on proper home exercise techniques. Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, maintain accurate patient records, and adhere to all state, federal regulations, and facility policies. Participate in continuing education to enhance clinical skills. This role requires an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, state licensure, and a minimum of one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
- State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records
