Job Summary
Conduct patient evaluations and assessments to determine physical abilities and limitations. Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve strength, mobility, and range of motion. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and families on home exercise techniques. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate documentation of all treatments and comply with facility policies and state regulations. Work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekend rotation. Requires an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, current state license, and at least one year of geriatric experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the field of physical therapy
