Job Summary
Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating and treating patients with conditions including Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke. Implement individualized treatment plans featuring therapeutic exercises and activities while monitoring and documenting patient progress. Educate patients and families on home exercises and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to legal and ethical standards. This role requires an Associate's degree, current state license, and at least two years of experience, with a competitive hourly rate of $26-$30. Full-time Monday through Friday positions include weekend rotation opportunities across skilled nursing, long-term care, and outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience working with patients who have suffered from ABI and Stroke
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards related to patient care
