Job Summary
Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises. Monitor and document patient progress, report to supervising therapist, and educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and home exercises. Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment. Follow safety and infection control protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary health-care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting preferred
- CPR certification is a plus
