Job Summary
Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises, monitor patient progress, and document outcomes. Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment, educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercises, and follow all safety and infection control protocols. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver rehabilitative care in a long-term care setting, ensuring personalized plans help residents achieve mobility and wellness goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team
- CPR certification is a plus
