Job Summary
Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises; monitor patient progress and report to supervising therapist; educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home exercises; prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment; follow safety and infection control protocols; collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting preferred
- CPR certification is a plus
