Physical Therapist Assistant

Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT according to state practice guidelines. Assist with patient identification, referrals, scheduling, and billing while documenting daily progress and obtaining required co-signatures. Obtain MD orders for treatments, recertifications, and discharges, and act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team. Supervise junior staff or students as needed, attend facility meetings, and cover other therapists' caseloads during absences. Maintain professional relationships with co-workers, patients, and families, and deliver in-service education on patient care. Comply with all facility policies, safety procedures, confidentiality regulations, and productivity requirements, including travel to nearby facilities when requested.
