Physical Therapist Assistant

Administers physical therapy treatments under the direction of Physical Therapists as a PTA. Responsibilities include delivering PT treatments, performing active/passive/ resistive exercises, therapeutic massage, mobilization and stretching within safety limits, teaching and motivating participants, gait training with assistive devices, homebound/community-based training, measuring ROM and MMT to evaluate progress, coordinating with the trans-disciplinary team, ensuring adherence to accreditation/licensure standards and ethics, and maintaining knowledge of physical therapy modalities and techniques. This role requires heavy work capacity and participation in treatment planning with a multi-disciplinary team.
