Physical Therapist Assistant

Administer physical therapy treatments to patients and work under the direction of Physical Therapists. Assure all program participants receive scheduled PT treatments while documenting sessions or reasons for absence. Perform active, passive, and resistive therapeutic exercises, general mobilization, and passive stretches within safety limits. Provide therapeutic massage, gait training, and instruction on assistive devices like canes, crutches, and walkers. Measure range of motion, vital signs, and manual muscle tests to assist in treatment planning. Confer with staff to evaluate participant information and coordinate care with the trans-disciplinary team. Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, licensure requirements, and confidentiality protocols.
