Physical Therapist Assistant

Provides Physical Therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, including assessing and treating patients, planning and implementing treatment programs, and educating patients and families. Responsibilities include collecting objective data, selecting appropriate PT techniques/media, monitoring patient responses, ensuring schedule adherence, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with the care team to coordinate rehabilitation plans. Requires an Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (or PTA grandfathered clause), and current Louisiana PTA licensure; must hold BCLS certification and communicate effectively in English. OSHA and infection-control standards adherence expected; role involves direct patient care in a hospital setting.
