Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care under Physical Therapist supervision by instructing patients on active/passive exercises, gait training, and functional transfers. Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, or physician. Complete daily notes for each visit and participate in developing the Plan of Treatment as needed. Assist with procedures, tests, and complex treatments while adhering to Therapy Standards of Practice. Instruct families and caregivers on therapy participation. Maintain a current, unrestricted license in the assigned state. Work independently with periodic support in a compassionate, long-term care environment at Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Required Qualifications
- degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution
- current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in assigned State
- ability to take direction from registered therapists and other team members
- ability to work independently with periodic (daily or less) support and direction
