Job Summary
Implement individualized treatment plans and guide therapeutic exercises for a frail, elderly patient population while monitoring progress and providing hands-on support. Collaborate with Physical Therapists and the interdisciplinary team to ensure functional rehabilitation goals are met for older adults with complex healthcare needs. Maintain valid licensure and hold at least one year of professional experience working exclusively with adult or geriatric patients. Occasional travel is required as part of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program.
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license or documented eligibility for licensure.
- One (1) to two (2) years of professional experience.
- Clinical knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly patients with complex healthcare needs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other members of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as required.
- Candidates whose professional experience is exclusively pediatric will not be considered for this opportunity.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with adult or geriatric patient populations.
- Rehabilitation experience involving older adults with complex medical or mobility needs.
- Experience supporting therapeutic exercise, mobility training, functional rehabilitation, and individualized treatment plans.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches to geriatric rehabilitation and patient care.
