Job Summary
Implement resident individualized treatment plans and provide physical therapy treatments including modalities and exercises to facilitate increased independence. Act as an assistant during therapist evaluations and complex procedures, while instructing residents, families, and caregivers in treatment skills. Organize treatment groups, collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop programs, and maintain timely documentation for all residents. Clean and maintain equipment, reporting repair needs as necessary. Attend care, staffing, and required meetings as a physical therapy representative.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Licensed as required by the State
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Under 18 years of age
