Job Summary
Organizes and conducts physical therapy programs for the facility to facilitate rehabilitation; directs client participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance; facilitates learning of skills essential for independence and productivity; designs and fits adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics; selects physical agent modalities suited to individual needs; consults with rehabilitation team to determine the most appropriate regimen; trains residents in mobility skills and evaluates progress; supervises supportive personnel; conducts training for staff in physical therapy techniques; ensures safe environment and maintains equipment; performs documentation and contributes to resident care discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Physical Therapy Association and certified by the American Physical Therapy Association under its requirements.
