Job Summary
PRN Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist, documents treatments in the medical record, and participates in weekly rehabilitation meetings and patient care conferences. Trails communications with supervising therapist, rehab director, and interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress, problems, and plans; participates in facility in-service training and adheres to corporate procedures and state Physical Therapy rules. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and an active license in Texas; emphasizes effective patient, family, and staff communication and the ability to perform duties with accommodations if needed. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current license in practicing state
- Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
- Must be capable of performing the Responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations
