Job Summary
Provide skilled physical therapy treatments based on the plan of care developed by the supervising Physical Therapist to help residents regain strength, mobility, balance, and independence. Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, function, positioning, and overall quality of life while communicating progress with the supervising Physical Therapist, nursing staff, physicians, and families. Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary team meetings, and discharge planning under supervision, and complete timely treatment documentation, progress notes, daily billing, and discharge-related documentation. Educate patients and facility staff on restorative programs and recommend appropriate equipment and interventions to support patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Ohio
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet productivity expectations
