Job Summary
Implement resident treatment plans and deliver skilled therapeutic interventions targeting strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional performance under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist. Monitor, document, and report clinical responses to the supervising PT while educating residents and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies. Support discharge planning, participate in team meetings and quality assurance initiatives, and maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and California state practice standards. Requires an active California PTA license, NPTE certification, and BLS/CPR. Per-diem compensation ranges from $40 to $45 per hour with full schedule flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active, and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of California
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Successful completion of the NPTE for PTAs
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to assist with patient transfers, mobility support, repositioning, prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, and lifting with or without assistive devices
- Ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergency situations
- Non-Exempt employment classification
