Job Summary
Under supervision of a Physical Therapist, provides medically prescribed therapy and participates in developing the physical therapy program. Documents client visits and progress, translates exercises into functional activities or activities of daily living, teaches treatment procedures to clients and families, and recommends home modifications or equipment. Maintains records and progress notes, and communicates with the Physical Therapist regarding client progress. Home health-focused PTA role with an emphasis on patient care, documentation, and collaboration within the care team.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and graduation from an accredited school for Physical Therapy Assistants required
- Current Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License. One year PTA work experience
- CPR certification
- Current driver's license and auto insurance coverage
