Job Summary
Physical Therapist Assistant I/II role in acute care at MUSC Florence Medical Center. Responsibilities include implementing a physical therapy program tailored to individuals across age groups (infant to geriatric) with diagnoses spanning neurologic, orthopedic, post-surgical, medically complex conditions, in both inpatient and outpatient settings; supervision of PTA students; collaboration under supervision of a Physical Therapist I–III; contributing to a patient/family directed, developmentally appropriate approach to care; and participating in clinical education experiences. Requires licensure as a PTA in SC and BLS certification. The position emphasizes patient-centered care within a leading regional acute care facility and supports MUSC Health Florence’s commitment to high standards of stroke and cardiovascular care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
