Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist in outpatient orthopedics/sports settings. Duties include documenting and charging patient care activities, educating patients and families, coordinating discharge planning and equipment needs, managing scheduling and re-evaluations, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Must hold an associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant, obtain state licensure as required (MD/DC/VA), and maintain BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification
