Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist in an outpatient ortho/sports setting. Responsibilities include documenting patient care activities and treatment progress, scheduling and coordinating re-evaluations and discharge planning, delivering patient education and training, recommending equipment, and contributing to interdisciplinary patient care plans. Requires an Associate degree as a PTA, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and applicable state licensure (MD/DC/VA) with BLS/CPR certification. The role emphasizes independent use of varied treatment approaches, effective time management, and collaboration within a team to ensure quality patient access to care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification
